Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Careerraft. By using the Platform you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• Your use of the Platform does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

2. Accounts

2.1 Registration

Certain features require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

2.2 Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@careerraft.in if you suspect unauthorised access.

2.3 One account per person

Each individual may maintain only one job seeker account. Companies may maintain one employer account per legal entity. We reserve the right to merge or close duplicate accounts.

3. Job seeker rules

As a job seeker you agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate profile information, including your skills, experience, and qualifications.
• Apply only to roles for which you are genuinely interested and reasonably qualified.
• Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape listings, submit applications, or interact with the Platform.
• Not share your account or allow others to apply on your behalf without disclosure.
• Not upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.

4. Employer and recruiter rules

As an employer or recruiter you agree to:

• Post only genuine, current job opportunities for real roles at real companies.
• Not post duplicate listings for the same role within a 30-day period without prior written approval.
• Accurately describe the role, compensation range, location, and work arrangement (remote/hybrid/on-site).
• Not use job listings for lead generation, data harvesting, or any purpose other than recruiting.
• Comply with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and equal opportunities laws in your jurisdiction.
• Remove or update listings promptly when a position is filled or cancelled.
• Not include discriminatory requirements based on age, gender, religion, race, disability, or other protected characteristics.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose.
• Impersonate any person, company, or entity.
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its underlying systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
• Use the Platform to transmit malware, spam, or unsolicited commercial communications.
• Collect or harvest user data without explicit consent.
• Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or technical restrictions.

6. Payments and refunds

6.1 Job posting fees

Certain employer features, including featured job listings and extended listing durations, require payment. All fees are stated in USD and are exclusive of applicable taxes.

6.2 Payment processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By submitting payment you authorise us to charge the stated amount to your chosen payment method. We do not store full card details.

6.3 Refund policy

Job listing fees are non-refundable once a listing has been published and is live on the Platform, except where:

• We are unable to publish your listing due to a technical error on our side.
• Your listing was removed by us for reasons other than a breach of these Terms.
• Required by applicable consumer protection law.

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase to billing@careerraft.io.

7. Intellectual property

7.1 Our content

The Careerraft name, logo, design, software, and all original content on the Platform are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

7.2 Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as your resume or job listing). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform. This licence ends when you delete your content or close your account.

7.3 Feedback

If you provide suggestions or feedback about the Platform, we may use that feedback without any obligation to you.

8. Third-party links and services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. These are provided for convenience only. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content or practices of any third-party site. Visiting third-party sites is at your own risk.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• Any job listing is accurate, current, or will result in employment.
• Any employer or job seeker profile is verified or authentic.

Careerraft is a platform connecting job seekers and employers. We are not a party to any employment relationship and accept no responsibility for hiring decisions made by employers.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Careerraft and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Platform.
• Reliance on any content or information on the Platform.
• Any employment or business relationship entered into as a result of using the Platform.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Careerraft and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@careerraft.in. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at hello@careerraft.in and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for a period of 30 days.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
